Tim Burton was born on the 25th of August 1958 in California. Burton had always enjoyed Art in School and then went on to study animation at California Institute of the Arts. Burton said that he got "incredibly lucky" and received a fellowship working at Disney as an animator. However during the production of the Fox and the Hound, Burton realised that his future was not in Disney, as his creative dream did not fit into Disney. He then decided to pursue his own personal projects. Burton's first big motion picture was "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure". This film showed the world what type of Director he is and his unique creative style, which then lead to other movies which demonstrates his artistic style. His unique style has been made into a phrase, which shows that his style has influenced Hollywood-"Burton-esque".
